I’m James founder of Run Rooster Run — a Mobile RV Detailing and Repair Business.

Let me start by welcoming you and thanking you for checking out my business.

Run Rooster Run began almost by accident.

I started this business because living full-time in an RV was my wife’s and my idea of “hacking retirement” and seeing the country. We quickly learned that there was a gap in the marketplace for quality customer-focused RV Services.

Out of necessity, I was forced to take matters into my own hands and perform several repairs on our rig.

It also wasn’t as shiny and bright as I’d wanted, so I relentlessly researched and perfected the best way to restore shine and gloss to faded gel-coated RVs.

Soon, neighbors in the RV park would ask what I was doing and for advice on detailing or fixing their own RVs.

This led to me, detailing, maintaining, and repairing their RV’s.

In our first year there, I detailed over 50 RVs of all types and performed more than 100 repairs and maintenance requests.

Run Rooster Run became that small business that specializes in helping you the RV owner get the most enjoyment and satisfaction from your RV and the lifestyle it can provide.

I serve the greater Georgetown, TX area.

I am dedicated to helping you, whether that be in person by physically doing the work or by offering as much information as I can to help you do it yourself.

Living with my wife ‘full-time’, we learned real quick that RV’s aren’t exactly as rugged, durable, or well-constructed as we’d like to think.

The truth is they are constructed quickly and are intended for occasional recreational use, not as your primary residence.

They seem to require almost constant attention and maintenance, especially for us full-timers.

There was definitely a need in the RV community for RV techs and detailers who cared and understood the needs of us full-timers. It seemed there was no short supply of folks in the industry who “preyed” upon full-timers. I also wanted to restore the shine and gloss to our own RV. I learned that it was oxidized from being in the strong Texas sun. I spent an entire summer figuring out the best way to remove it through research and reaching out to some of the country’s finest marine and RV detailers.

Growing up I was that kid who was always taking apart my toys and seeing how they worked, rather than playing with them. It is this passion for figuring things out for myself that gave me the fuel to become a competent RV tech and professional detailer. I spent a dozen or so years working in car dealerships and was obsessed with delivery vehicles to customers that had that beautiful “Showroom Shine”

As someone who always likes to be “doing something,” working on RVs seemed to be a positive way to channel that energy!

Run Rooster Run became that business.

It has since become a way to help fund our on the road adventures by helping fellow RV’rs in the Georgetown, TX area and by providing information to those interested in doing it on their own.

Plus, we both grew up in a small rural towns where we learned the value of faith, hard work, and the belief that serving others is something we all should strive for.

It’s these values and beliefs that formed the 3 main reasons I started Run Rooster Run:

1. The need to work with a purpose.

I’ve always enjoyed the satisfaction of a good hard day’s labor.

Detailing an RV from top to bottom is flat out hard work.

I’ve worked hard my whole life. I enjoy running around 50 miles per week. I keep myself in shape.

This gives me an edge and helps me bring the drive, energy, and focus needed to help you protect your investment.

2. The Desire to Make a Difference

I pride myself in offering value to RV owners.

From what we’ve seen, this industry isn’t short on people who see only the opportunity to take advantage of others, usually the most vulnerable.

I structure my prices to be affordable for most RV owners and fair to me.

Based on the experiences many RV owners have had, they tell us that they dread calling someone for help. They believe it’s going to cost too much and deliver too little.

I don’t want anyone to let this fear cause them to live with a problem. I’ve seen owners live without Air Conditioning in the brutal Texas heat or without hot water for weeks.

I promise to do my best to work with you and your budget to deliver the best result for the money spent.

3. The Responsibility to Share What I’ve Learned

Ask anyone who knows me and they’ll tell you that I relentlessly seek out the best solution.

In college, I loved writing term-papers and doing the research. Long nights in the library were great times.

Today, the internet has replaced the library. You can find the answer to just about anything by “Googling” it.

Sometimes that leads to information overload and wondering what is the “right” way to do something.

Let me help with that by sharing with you what I’ve learned and put into practice.

Most of this knowledge is freely shared.

I don’t know everything and I don’t claim to.

But, I promise that everything that I share will be something I’ve used and believe in.

Being from small towns dotted with family farms, we really enjoyed that life.

If you’ve ever been around a farm, you know that roosters are Proud, Loyal, and Independent.

Those seemed like good traits for a business to me.

Plus, I like to hustle and move with purpose. Staying productive, staying busy.

So I say, Run…Rooster…Run.

It’s also catchy and easy to remember, at least I hope so.
